Wearing make up or not from a mans view....

1) When You Bare It All

Did you know that the average American woman spends almost $200 a year on her makeup? That's a shocking $13,000 spent over her lifetime. And the kicker: Our guys actually prefer our skin sans accompaniment.

"I love how she looks when she first wakes up, " says Keith, 36, of his fiancée, April. "Fresh, clean, natural. I hate when she piles on that cakey eye stuff. She still looks good, but she just doesn't look as much like herself."

Chris, 23, concurs. "I was actually drawn to [my girlfriend] Stephanie because she didn't wear makeup. She didn't really look like she was trying to be noticed. That was cool, you know?"

"She's never as gorgeous as she is just out of the shower," says Daniel, 30, of his wife, Gina. "When she’s all natural, scrubbed clean, and walking around in a towel — man, I love that. I actually proposed to her in that towel!"

"I absolutely hate lip gloss," says Taylor, 21. "My girlfriend's always trying to kiss me with it on, and it's so sticky! Seriously, why do you ladies like that stuff?"

"Lip gloss is the worst," says Taylor’s friend Rand, 22. "I can never get it off my face! It completely takes the romance out of kissing because I keep thinking about how annoying it is."

what's up with the dot on the forehead of the Hindu women?????

The Dot ---

Thanks to the Indian embassy in Ottawa , SOMEONE HAS FINALLY PROVIDED AN EXPLANATION.................................

For centuries, Hindu women have worn a dot on their foreheads. Most of us have naively thought this was connected with tradition or religion, but the Indian embassy in Ottawa has recently revealed the true story. When a Hindu woman gets married, she brings a dowry into the union. On her wedding night, the husband scratches off the dot to see whether he has won a convenience store, a gas station, a donut shop, a taxi cab, or a motel in the United States . If nothing is there, he must remain in India to answer telephones and provide us with technical advice.
FIVE THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER PUT ON A CREDIT CARD Credit cards are powerful financial instruments, but cardholders must use them carefully to avoid becoming trapped in a cycle of debt. At the same time, it can be difficult for cardholders to contemplate a huge expense knowing that a bank has already extended them sufficient credit to just charge it. Yet a credit card is often the worst means of finance. Credit card debt is unsecured and typically carries a higher interest rate than a car or home loan. And unlike a home mortgage or student loan, credit card debt is never tax deductible. Of all the things that be financed with a credit card, here are the five worst: 1. College tuition. Many adults can trace their debts back to their college years when they didn’t fully appreciate how difficult it would be to pay off credit card charges, especially after interest starts to compound. And in many cases, college graduates aren’t able to land a job as soon as they hoped, or they have insufficient income to start paying off their debt. Rather than using a credit card, higher education can be funded through low-interest student loans, scholarships, grants, and part-time jobs. And if these sources are inadequate, students can consider a less expensive school or delay enrollment until they have more savings. 2. Taxes. When taxpayers find themselves with an unexpectedly large liability, it can be tempting to just charge it. And conveniently, the IRS makes it easy to use a credit card to make payments through one of several companies that they authorize to accept money on their behalf. However, there are several reasons why you shouldn’t. First, the payment processors will collect a fee of between 1.88%-2.35%. Also, the IRS will allow you to set up a payment plan with a more competitive interest rate. IRS underpayment interest rates change each quarter, but are currently at 3%, far better than any credit card’s standard interest rate. And finally, taxpayers should seek to have their withholding adjusted to ensure that they are not underpaying taxes in the future. 3. A big wedding. When couples chose to host a lavish event, it is easy to understand why some people think that the wedding industry is going too far. Planning a wedding is not easy, but couples need to live within their means and avoid financing the occasion with their credit cards . It is a special day for newlyweds, but it is not worth it when they are forced to begin their lives together underneath a mountain of debt. 4. Vacations. People take vacations to take a break from their everyday lives and to reduce stress. But when travelers finance their trips with their credit cards, they will only be returning to the difficulties caused by their debt. Going camping, staying at hostels, and visiting family and friends are just a few of the ways that people can have a getaway that fits within their means. And if that is not your idea of a dream trip, contribute to a vacation fund each month until you reach your goal, and use your savings to finance a vacation. 5. Medical bills. Treatment costs for the uninsured can be staggering, but that is no reason to turn to credit cards as a means of finance. Ideally, the uninsured should shop around before seeking treatment, but that is not always possible. But even after receiving the bill, most providers will be able to adjust their rates and offer payment plans with little or no interest. It is one thing to earn rewards by making a charge to a credit card that can be immediately paid off, but it is another matter to use credit cards as a means of finance. By understanding why it almost never makes sense to finance some charges with a credit card, you can make the best decisions when presented with a major expense.

Grape seed extract for wrinkles

Many people are skeptical about grape seed extract, because of its reputation as a miracle cure for so many different conditions, and they say that the claims made about grape seed extract are too good to be true. Grape seed extract is said to be helpful for cancer, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, arthritis, skin disorders (including skin cancer), and for strengthening the immune system. Some manufacturers even claim that it will extend a person's life span. Most of these benefits have not been studied; however, the benefits of grapes and grape-based products for the circulatory system have been demonstrated in clinical trials, and research has shown grape seed extract to be useful for speeding the process of healing wounds. Wrinkles are not wounds, but the wound healing research suggests that grape seed extract may have a strong effect on skin cells. There is no research demonstrating that grape seed extract can prevent or reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but there is some research suggesting that it may prevent sun-related skin damage.

Grape seed Extract as a Treatment for Wrinkles

Method
Buy capsules of grape seed extract, and take orally. There is no daily recommended amount for grape seed extract, but some experts recommend taking between 25–150 mg, one to three times daily.
Use a cream containing grape seed extract, and massage it into your skin once or twice a day.
Start with red grapes, and process them in a food processor. Apply to your face, and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse.

Why It Works

Grape seed extract contains proanthocyanidin, the same antioxidant that can also be found in grapes, grape juice, and red wine. Proanthocyanidins have been shown to strengthen the capillaries, help maintain the elasticity of the skin, and help stabilize collagen levels in the skin. Some normal degradation of skin cells is caused by the enzyme elastase, which is released when the skin is damaged or inflamed (such as when the skin is sunburned). Grape seed extract is thought to block the activity of elastase in the skin. It is also known to improve circulation, which helps all the cells and organs in the body to maintain better health. Grape seed extract also contains alpha hydroxy acids, which are commonly used in skin care products to help exfoliate dead skin cells.

Precautions

No supplement or skin cream can make up for decades of damage done to the skin by poor diet and exposure to the sun. One of the main causes of wrinkles is damage caused by years of sunbathing. If you are worried about skin health, supplements and creams containing antioxidants will help, but it is equally important to eat a nourishing, balanced diet, and drink plenty of water.

Grape seed extract is well tolerated by most people whether it is taken orally or topically. It has been used safely for up to eight weeks at a time in clinical trials. A few people, though, develop side effects from taking it. Side effects include headache, dry and itchy scalp, dizziness, and nausea. Some people are allergic to grapes; if you are, or suspect you may be, allergic, then you may want to try doing a patch test on your skin before using topical products containing grape seed extract more extensively

Rose Oil for wrinkles

Rose oil is an essential oil, an oil that is extracted using steam distillation. Rose oil is usually made from damask (Bulgarian roses) or from cabbage roses. Plants contain only a small amount of oil, so several hundred pounds of plant are required to distill an ounce of oil. As a result, rose oil is expensive but highly concentrated. Many people save money by buying a rose blend–rose oil mixed with a carrier oil such as jojoba. Rose oil is a common ingredient in anti-aging products and has a reputation for preventing wrinkles.

Rose oil natural treatment for wrinkles

Method
Place 15 drops of rose oil in two tablespoons of a carrier oil, such as jojoba, almond, apricot, or hazelnut. Or, buy a rose blend oil that is already mixed with a carrier oil.
Massage into damp skin. You may want to use steam first, to open your pores.
You can leave rose oil on your skin; there is no need to wash it off.

Why It Works

Rose oil contains over 300 different chemical compounds, each of which is said to act on the skin in different ways. Many of the compounds in rose oil are antioxidants and some are antibacterial. As an astringent, rose oil helps to pull the skin taut; as a moisturizer it hydrates. Rose oil is also believed to stimulate collagen production.

Precautions

People who use essential oils find their effects to be nearly miraculous, but no amount of oil will make up for decades of damage done to the skin by poor diet and exposure to the sun. One of the main causes of wrinkles is damage caused by years of sunbathing. If you are worried about skin health, topically applied products such as rose oil will help, but it is equally important to eat a nourishing, balanced diet, and drink plenty of water.

Rose oil is generally considered to be a very safe, low risk product to use. Some people with very sensitive skin have found it irritating. Those who are allergic to roses, or to the plant that is used in the carrier oil, should not use rose oil.

OLIVE OIL FOR WRINKLES.....

You can take olive oil orally, by eating a green salad with an olive oil and lemon juice dressing. Taking olive oil this way also gives you the benefit of the antioxidants and anti-inflammatories contained in dark green leafy lettuce. There are many other ways to incorporate olive oil into your diet, but putting it on salad is probably your healthiest alternative.

You can also use olive oil topically:
First, steam your face by boiling water, pouring it into a bowl, and then draping a towel over your head to make a steam tent.
Steam for five to 15 minutes.
Massage olive oil into damp skin.

Why It Works

Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fat, which makes up about 25 percent of the fatty acids in the skin. Monounsaturated fat helps the skin to resist damage caused by oxidation. Olive oil is also high in vitamin E, which many health practitioners consider to be the most important fat soluble vitamin in the body. One tablespoon of olive oil contains almost nine percent of the RDA for vitamin E. Olive oil is high in other antioxidants as well, including polyphenols. Olive oil also contains oleocanthal, an anti-inflammatory.

Olive oil is well tolerated by most people and generally regarded as safe. If you ingest large quantities of olive oil, it could cause diarrhea. Be sure to use extra virgin olive oil, which has lower acidity than other varieties. If you are using olive oil in cooking, be careful not to overheat it.
